Public Art

The Connection has a significant public art collection.

Located in the foyer of The Learning Space, The Digital Gallery is Sydney’s newest exhibition space for video, sound, and digital art.

A public artwork by acclaimed indigenous Australian artist Brook Andrew integrates the architecture with its waterfront setting. Called In Motion, the artwork moves through the precinct as rubber softfall, a water play feature and LED light paths.

More world-class art can be found inside The Learning Space where internationally renowned Chinese artist Lu Xinjian has created two works especially for The Connection:

  • Wired Space, a suspended installation of four wire sculptures; and
  • City DNA/Canada Bay depicting the Rhodes streetscape as viewed from Google Earth’s aerial perspective (pictured above).
